Sometimes I think the hardest thing to do in life is to live, I am working on a kit, and I do have a freebie for you, but I will get to that... I am just starting to get into digi scrapping again, I truely just love it, but I suffer from mental blocks. I am working on a book about my best friend Kimmie, and I have a lot of pictures to scrap, and each picture brings back wonderful memories but also sadness. Kimmie was the most wonderful, vibrant, loving person I have ever met, she endured so many battles in life, not only with her health, but with life itself, always with a smile. So, I want a kit that reflects that, and I'm a little bit of a perfectionist...
So here are the pieces I've done this week

here is the layout, I'm not completely happy with it but it is time to move back to happier things.

I used a Dumpty template
you can get the freebie *** Gone sorry
I am going to work on a different kit for next week, but from time to time I will come back and add to this one.
A BIG thanks to everyone who takes the time to leave a comment. I do read them all, they really do motivate me at times to create.
Here are the new colors!

Thanks a lot for the goodies.
Thank you so very much for the great freebie!
So sorry to hear about the snow! We had some flurries yesterday which didn't amount to anything!
The temp was in the 70's and now its back to the 30's!
Have a great Easter weekend!!!
Thank you so much for your lovely freebies, Selena has posted you on her freebie list.
I love your layout, especialy love that frame!
Thanks for all your fab freebies. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I lost my mom at 16, so I know what it is to want to memorialize memories of someone you love. I have a few suggestions for the kit, since you're creatively blocked on it. I'd do something with her picture...totally stylized. Maybe a paper or a tag with a very light outlined or pencil sketch of her profile, or just her smiling face? What I'm picturing is you can barely make out the details, but very soft. Also, maybe a shabby bloom? Something indicative of fading beauty? To me, this kit is crying out for some lace. Maybe an ornate realistic frame of some sort? And perhaps some magnetic poetry type words of things your friend brings to mind...."sensitive", "compassionate", "laugh out loud"...that sort of thing. It seems to me this is still so fresh for you that you're having a hard time delving as deep emotionally as you really need to to do your friends life justice. My advice, dig deep, feel it all, and breathe out a cathartic sigh.
Good luck!
