I love reading all of your comments! They really keep me motivated! I have been busy, working, the holiday, getting my shopping started, and it takes absolutely forever to get these kits packaged. These will be the last kits of 2009. It is snowing, I love to bake cookies when it is snowing but I have to get this done! Well it sure must be a grab and go phase in digital scrap freebies land, I put little contests and games on this blog and even though I get hundreds of downloads nobody plays. Between work, work on the house, kids, and my favorite hobby, I have been completely busy. We have replaced all the windows, pulled up almost all of the old flooring, had wall to wall carpet installed, all that is left is the kitchen floor, and trim work... for now.

I am a very bad, bad, bad, blogger! But I do have two whole kits for freebies today so don't yell at me too bad. LOL So much has happened since my last post. WOW! Where does the time go? My oldest son went to France, and had a wonderful time! Thank-You to everyone that donated towards that trip. He is now in college. I recently purchased a house and really haven't had much time for scrapping but things are getting better. It was a lot of work getting everything ready and moving, even though it was only across town. Well enough jibber jabber... here are some FREEBIES for you.

WoW is it windy! Nice to get the recent rain and sleet and mess dried up! One could almost fly a kite if you didn't have to wade through 3 feet of snow in the field. This new freebie kit reflects on the colors of a spring kite.

I finally broke down and purchased a wacom yesterday, I am having so much fun playing with it that I don't know when I will get any scrapping done...lol

Phew I have been busy, too busy really! I have to send out a big thanks to every one who donated for Paul's trip to France, he had a wonderful time! All of my donation kits have officially retired to a quiet resting place on my hard drive and are no longer available.

Happy Thursday to everyone! I want to thank you all for your donations for Paul's trip, and all the warm comments on the kits. It really amazes me that my kits are downloaded well over 1000 times... thats a big WOW!

This is the preview for the new donation kit. I chose the name and the colors, in hopes of some good scrapping pictures when Paul gets back from france. Older kits are still available by special request.

Is a pain in the behind little kitty... he has seperation anxiety... in the middle of the night he will wander around the house screaming until one of us lets him into bed with us, or locks him in the bathroom, where he will give up his quest for company. My new kit is named after him... I used a Heather Benson Template for this layout. Look for this kit "Orion" in the near future.

I have another kitty, his name is Dakota. I haven't sorted through my pictures to find just the right one, but I made a page for him too. It's a quick page and I thought I'd share it with you. My kit Dakota is coming along well so watch for it soon.

Mini Tutorial:

to turn any layout into a quick page in CS2:

Before you merge your pictures into any layer... first save your page as a psd file. Finish up your page and merge as you wish and save, close it out. Ok now open up that psd file you saved, find your pictures in the layers pallette, click on that layer to make it active. Than on the top, go Layer>Layer Style>Blending Options. A box will pop up, in the middle change the knockout to deep, select OK. Then with the pic still your active layer, change the fill to 0% on top of the layers pallette, do this to all of your pictures in the layout. Don't forget to hide, or trash your journaling! Merge layers, and you have a quickpage! Save as a png file. Now what you do with the psd file is up to you. I save my printables in jpeg, and my quick pages as png... psd is big so I delete it if I'm done, but it is your choice.

Well the summer went well with the boys home... hectic though! I have been getting a little creative though. My oldest son now a senior in High School got selected for a trip to France, so we have been busy raising money for that. Quite the oppurtunity for a Maine country boy... I made a donation only kit, and all of this kits proceeds will go towards that expense. I also included a folded corner template in this kit with 3 different layer styles, made in CS2.

well I shoveled a lot , and I do mean a lot of snow today, we got at least 18 inches of snow last night, and I am very tired.

Sometimes I think the hardest thing to do in life is to live, I am working on a kit, and I do have a freebie for you, but I will get to that... I am just starting to get into digi scrapping again, I truely just love it, but I suffer from mental blocks. I am working on a book about my best friend Kimmie, and I have a lot of pictures to scrap, and each picture brings back wonderful memories but also sadness. Kimmie was the most wonderful, vibrant, loving person I have ever met, she endured so many battles in life, not only with her health, but with life itself, always with a smile. So, I want a kit that reflects that, and I'm a little bit of a perfectionist...
